fortune / misfortune

i bet everyone of you (if someone reads this blog) had times where you have been favored by fortune and times where you've been dogged by bad luck. i am not really sure where i am right now. i always thought i am lucky but now i think everytime i am lucky it will bring some bad luck with it.

let's list the events that happend in the past few weeks (SINCE I CAME TO KAISERSLAUTERN).

☻i had to do a presentation to get into college. that presentation was one day after a festival i wanted to go to. so i didn't go to the festival do work on my presentation. good thing was they exepted me for college but i did not get to see the bands i waited for a long time.

☻good thing was, 2 month later nearly all of the bands i wanted to see came to germany again. but there were no tickets anymore. but there was 1 single shop in kaiserslautern which had 12 tickets left! coincidence?

☻but then at a party my sunglasses just broke, i wanted to take them off and a sidepiece just went off // at another party i lost my glasses. (they must have fell out of my jacket while i was taking out my gloves.)

☻1 week later i won a tv at mcdonalds - monopoly thingy. (not sure if i'm really gonna get it).

☻then my ps2 broke. first only the burned games wouldn't work anymore, then i gave it to a shop to repair it. now nothing works anymore.

☻and finally, yesterday my cellphone fell into the toilette. afterwards it wouldn't work anymore. today i started it and it worked without problems. like nothing ever happend.

it all might be coincidences, but maybe we don't have luck without bad luck.

RATATAT en concert

i went for 2 years to a school in frankfurt and there was really no concert i could go to. and NOW since i study in kaiserslautern all the bands come to frankfurt!!! wtf is going on? nevermind. at least i got to see RATATAT! they were pretty cool. would have liked to hear some remixes but they did only play songs from their albums. never the less they rocked the shit out of their guitars. never seen someone playing the guitar like they did.

someone found a vhs tape from 83!! this got the be the best video / song EVER! cool dance moves, hot 80s hairstyles + girls. what do you want more? this retro style is very nice and it doesn't look like a pc edited filter version or something. it really feels like 80s! (even though i don't know what the 80s feel like!!)

Spider - Man: Web of Shadows

i have this game since the day it came out. and for the first times in years, i bought it! i still have some problems with the game, cause it has some really bad lags sometimes (it's because it's a conversion from the 360/ps3 version...a bad conversion). BUT i love this game. finally a good spiderman game. i am still at the beginning of the game because i am hoping that a new patch will come out soon.

Late of the Pier

on the 3rd of november i finally get to see LATE OF THE PIER. i wanted to see them on the melt! festival but i couldn't go there because i had a presentation for my college. late of the pier is playing in the same place where we had our farewell party from school. it's a nice small place and i bet it's gonna be awesome! >:_D i think this is my last concert for this year.

finally

took him very long to make a video. i know datA now for a year and he has a lot of good songs + remixes. and now data finally managed to make a music video for the song "Rapture". i like the song but not as much as other songs from him. but at least the video is pretty colorful.

like the title says i survived the concert. still don't know how...
this was THE BEST CONCERT EVR!
first band to play was crystal castles. i was so fucked up after they played. if their equipment wouldn't have been broken i would have died, i swear. 2nd band was shitdisco, they were good too but i haven't heard their album yet but i thought most of their songs sounded the same. but still it was lots of fun. last band of the night was metronomy. all i can say: best stage performance. loved the iron man lights + dance moves.

13€ + red bull + jägermeister + crystal castles + shitdisco + metronomy = pure awesomeness

first I wanted to see them in frankfurt (on monday) but I couldn't find someone to come with me. then I wanted to go on thursday in stuttgart but on tuesday there were no tickets anymore. so I called a ticketshop and they said "we can not tell you if we have tickets or if we not, but we call you tomorrow if we can sell you tickets". the next day they called me and said "we can not sell you the tickets, we don't have the rights (or something like that), but you can call the >>POPSHOP<<. they might have tickets". called the popshop and they said: "call back in 1 hour, our computer is currently dead". I went back to bed. woke up at 11.30 IMMEDIATELY called the popshop and they said: "yes we have 12 tickets left." you know. I am currently in kaiserslautern and kaiserslautern // popshop was the only place which had tickets for that concert. coincidence or just lucky me?

I dont know if I will survive that concert, wich me luck!

on wednesday i'm going to start college (i will study virtual design). tomorrow i will move into my shared appartement. i already have my bed, couch and table set up there. that means no internet for the next few days :_O
